An 18-year-old man walked into a Chesterfield pizza joint on Ladue Road March 27 and threatened employees with a lacrosse stick before walking out with two bags of potato chips.

Another pizza delivery problem occurred in Manchester on March 21. The driver delivered the pizza without incident, but he had failed to lock his car, had left the car keys in the ignition and had left it running. Upon returning from delivering the pizza, the delivery driver discovered his car was gone.

A homeowner reported multiple bird-feeders missing from a yard at 6 Oakland Hills Drive, in Chesterfield. There are currently no suspects and now even the squirrels are going hungry.

Making Wishes Doesn't Count if You Take The Coins

A 38-year-old man with a criminal record was arrested March 24 on suspicion of stealing money from one of the fountains at the Galleria. Later, after the Galleria had closed, two 16-year-olds also were arrested on suspicion of stealing coins from the fountain, as well as trespassing. The teens ran from security but were later caught by police and turned over to juvenile authorities. Their parents could not be located.

The Fire and Brimstone Apparently Wasn't an Issue

A neighbor of Life Changing Christian Fellowship Church in Richmond Heights complained March 27 about the high volume of the church's interior loudspeakers during its Sunday services. The city prosecutor is reviewing the case.

The Buyer Didn't Have Anything Smaller Than a $1,400 check

A person in St. Peters accepted a $1,400 cashier's check in payment for a pair of $100 sunglasses he had for sale on Craigslist. The change from the transaction was to be wired back to the buyer. The problem was, the check was bogus.

Steampunk Parts on the Theft Hot List?

In a daring daylight heist, between noon and 3 p.m. March 30, a brass elevator gear was stolen from the parking lot of a business in Webster Groves.

In Shrewsbury, around March 21, more than $600 worth of fabricated re-bar and more than $500 worth of metal pipe bollards were reported stolen from a construction site at Mackenzie Pointe.
