Police Honored For Work On Home Invasion Case

A St. Louis man has been charged in connection with the April incident at an elderly Ellisville woman's home.

A pair of Ellisville Police Detectives have been recognized for their work to bring a man accused of forcing his way into an elderly woman's home to justice.

In April, a woman said a man disguised as a UPS deliveryperson came to her door and ultimately forced his way through, taking money and leaving her taped to her stove.

The woman provided police with a detailed description, and authorities later learned of an accomplice in the case. In May, police in the city of St. Louis arrested Tyson McGuire in connection with the incident. 

McGuire has been charged with Burglary, Stealing and Kidnapping.

Last week, Ellisville Police Chief Tom Felgate presented Chief's Commendations to Police Detectives Alan Carter and Brian Gillaspie
