Police ID Man Wanted in Ellisville Home Invasion

Police say Tyson D. McGuire went to the elderly victim's home pretending to be a UPS courier. He is charged with kidnapping, burglary and theft, but has not been arrested. He is considered "armed and dangerous."

Ellisville police are searching for Tyson D. McGuire in connection to a recent home invasion. McGuire is known to carry a gun and is considered armed and dangerous, according to investigators.

The following information was provided by the Ellisville Police Department in a news release.

A warrant was issued by the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office for Tyson D. McGuire of St. Louis City for Burglary 1st (Class B Felony), Stealing Over/$500 (Class C Felony) and Kidnapping (Class B Felony). Bond is set at $250,000.  McGuire has not been arrested and

At approximately 3:50 pm that afternoon, McGuire went to the elderly victim’s home pretending to be a UPS courier.  When the victim opened the door, McGuire forced his way in.  McGuire detained the victim by taping her to her stove.  Prior to leaving the house, he searched for money and valuables stealing several items, including jewelry.  The victim was able to use her teeth to chew through the tape to free herself and call the police.  The victim was not injured.

Police also said McGuire is 37-years-old , 6’1”, and 165 pounds. He reportedly uses the alias DeAndre Akens and his last known address is 4903 Macklind Avenue, according to authorities.
