Rainfield Court Home Catches Fire Wednesday

The fire was extinguished early Wednesday morning.

A ranch-style home on Rainfield Court near Sulphur Springs Road caught fire early Wednesday morning, according to a KSDK report.

The fire, believed to have started in the basement of the home according to the report, was extinguished quickly. No injuries were reported, but smoke and water damaged the home's interior.

KMOV reports West County Fire responded to the scene at around 4:30 a.m., alerted of the fire by resident Amanda Schmidt who said she heard "a boom" in the basement and rushed upstairs to notify her family.
