Ann Wagner of Ballwin Gets Pro-Life Nod

Congressional candidate Ann Wagner received an endorsement Tuesday that may prove to be a boon for the Republican in next summer's primaries.

Congressional candidate Ann Wagner, who will face Ed Martin in her bid for the 2nd Congressional District in next summer's Republican primaries, received an endorsement announced Tuesday from one of the nation's leading pro-life political action committees.

The Susan B. Anthony List Candidate Fund, which reports it spent roughly $11 million among 90 different races in the 2010 election cycle, released a statement late Tuesday morning that singled out Missouri's 3rd District Congressman, Democratic U.S. Rep. Russ Carnahan.

"She provides the ideal contrast to Representative Russ Carnahan," SBA List President Marjorie Dannenfelser said of Wagner in the statement. "His record of support for taxpayer funded abortion on demand earned him a 100 percent rating with both NARAL and Planned Parenthood. Ann Wagner is the type of leader women need in Washington."
