Ballwin Board Room Reopens After Renovation

The home of city government meetings and municipal court proceedings got a $350,000 summer makeover.

As promised, work to renovate the board room at the Donald "Red" Loehr Police & Courts building in Ballwin wrapped up in time for the first set of city meetings scheduled for after Labor Day.

Crews spent the summer making changes in the space that holds Ballwin's Board of Aldermen meetings, along with the Planning and Zoning Commission and Municipal Court.

The $352,000 project was designed to improve the acoustics in the building, update audio-visual technology available in the room and make largely unspecified security improvements.
