Bluebird Park Still Hosting Town Hall Meetings Despite Recent Vote

Bluebird Park wil host a trio of town hall meetings to discuss the pros and cons of moving to a new city hall.

The Ellisville City Council may have voted down a bill that would have funded a study of the Tri-Star Auto dealership as a future City Hall, but a series of town hall meetings regarding the potential need for a new home are still moving forward this week.

The public is invited to attend any of three town hall meetings, set for the Park Administration Building at Bluebird Park Tuesday July 9 at 6 p.m., Thursday July 11 at 2 p.m. and Saturday July 13 at 9 a.m.

While city leaders say space needs have been a concern for the existing Weis Avenue site for years, residents have been vocal in opposition to moving city hall further west to the border of Wildwood, and say the pricetag of more than $5 million amounts to a going-away present for a company moving out of town.
