CVS Requests Help Enforcing Ballwin Grove Parking Issues

The CVS Pharmacy neighbors the popular Ballwin Grove development, home to Circle 7 Ranch and Marcella's Mia Sorella.

The Ballwin Grove shopping plaza, home to local restaurants Circle 7 Ranch and Marcella's Mia Sorella that both opened this fall, has already been deemed almost "too successful" at Ballwin Board of Aldermen meetings.

Patrons of the Ballwin Grove restaurants and shops have been overfilling the parking lot, primarily in the evening hours. The neighboring CVS Pharmacy has lost several of its spaces, including no parking zones in the receiving area and near the fire lane, and the CVS manager is asking for enforcement help from Ballwin Police.

Although an additional 35 parking spaces are in the works, with about half already available, CVS Store Manager Tony Randazzo requested cooperation to develop an ordinance that would help keep neighboring patrons off his lot.

Randazzo explained that parking has become "a real hazard" and that the CVS would "be liable for any incidents." Randazzo said his first concern is public safety, and while Circle 7 Ranch has been polite and cooperative, the crowded parking cannot overflow into the CVS lot.

Ballwin Mayor Tim Pogue said at the Dec. 10 aldermen meeting that city staff will work with Ballwin Police and West County EMS and Fire to review the situation.
