Demolition, Outdoor Displays Up Before Ballwin Council

The Ballwin Board of Aldermen is expected to vote on a proposal regulating businesses that set up outdoor displays at Monday night's council meeting.

The Ballwin Board of Aldermen may vote Monday night on a measure that would mandate how local businesses can use outdoor displays, in addition to votes dealing with the purchase of new golf carts, sidewalk construction and the demolition of a building in front of Ferris Park.

A partial agenda of Monday night's city council meeting has been reproduced below, as submitted by the City of Ballwin City Clerk.

Council members are scheduled to convene at 5:30 for a budget meeting immediately followed by the regular city council meeting at 7 p.m. Monday. Both meetings will take place at the .

Minutes (Meeting Records)

Kehrs Mill Sidewalks (Bill No. 3706)
This legislation requires reimbursement of the local funding contribution for construction of these sidewalks, subject to redevelopment.

Outdoor Storage (Bill No. 3707)
This legislation was drafted pursuant to the Board’s referral to the Planning & Zoning Commission.  The Commission voted unanimously to recommend approval.

Food Trailer (Bill No. 3708)
Mr. Harry’s has petitioned for a S.U.E. to allow the parking of a trailer in the C-1 district.  The Planning & Zoning Commission recommended approval.

Golf Cars
It is recommended that 6 replacement golf carts be purchased from Gateway Golf Car, who submitted the low bid of $1,649 per car with trade.

Ferris Park Building Demolition
It is recommended that the contract to demolish the vacant structure be awarded to MTL Excavating, who submitted the low bid of $21,000. 

Policy Manual
A review of Section 4 (Finance) is proposed for consideration. 

Rojean Drive
Additional clarification regarding this reimbursement expenditure has been provided.  Payment is recommended.
