Ellisville AT&T Cell Tower in the Works
A new cell phone tower in Ellisville utilized by AT&T aimed at enhancing phone service is expected to be completed by the end of this month.
A work crew on site at the Mobile Gas station near the corner of Clarkson and Manchester roads made progress Monday toward erecting a new cell phone tower expected to boost cell phone service for AT&T users.
A contract construction crew working on the tower, located behind the Mobil gas station at 15961 Manchester Road in Ellisville, said the new piece of hardware should be complete by the end of May. Crew members said the tower should be active in June or July, when an adjacent tower, currently disguised with an American flag at its top, is deactivated and its signals are transferred to the new piece of hardware.
