Ellisville Council Calls Special Meeting To Hire City Attorney

The city has been looking for a replacement for Paul Martin, who was dismissed last month.

The Ellisville City Council will meet in special session on Monday night to vote on a bill to allow Mayor Adam Paul to execute a contract to hire Restovich Allen as the city's new legal counsel.

The city dismissed Paul Martin from the role, after Mayor Adam Paul was permanently reinstated to office in July.

The move to hire Restovich Allen comes after a work session this month that, according to West Newsmagazine, led some to wonder if Councilwoman Cindy Pool had violated the city charter in having an innocent discussion with another finalist for the position, lawyers from Hazelwood and Weber.

Monday's meeting begins at 6pm at Ellisville City Hall
