Ray Wagner Resigns From St. Louis County Police Board

The Ballwin resident cited personal and professional commitments in announcing his decision, according to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch.

Upheaval on the citizen's board that oversees the St. Louis County Police department has now reached Ballwin with news Tuesday that Raymond Wagner has resigned from the panel, effective September 25, according to the St. Louis Post Dispatch.

Wagner, husband of U.S. Representative Ann Wagner (R-Ballwin), is stepping away because of "other personal and professional commitments," the paper reported.

Raymond Wagner is an executive with Enterprise Holdings.

Wagner is serving as Acting Chairman of the The St. Louis County Board of Police Commissioners after Chairman Gregory Sansone and Vice-Chair Floyd Warmann left the panel last week.

The moves come as St. Louis County Police Chief Tim Fitch requested an FBI investigation into how a contract for the county's new crime lab was awarded to Gregory Sansone's construction firm and if there was a conflict of interest.

Wagner will stay on the panel no later than September 25, the Post-Dispatch reported.
