Free Citizens Police Academy for St. Louis County Residents

The St. Louis County Police Department, City of Fenton Precinct, and West County Precinct will co-host a Citizens Police Academy beginning in February to provide community members an opportunity to learn crime prevention techniques, become acquainted with local law enforcement officials, and gain a better understanding of the County Police Department’s operations.

I participated in a Citizens Police Academy several years ago, and it was an incredible experience. Role playing various scenarios that police officers may encounter while on duty gave me a much greater appreciation of what law enforcement officials go through while serving and protecting our communities.

Law enforcement professionals will lead the academy classes each Wednesday from 7:00 to 9:00 pm at the West County Precinct, 232 Vance Road, beginning February 26. The eight week training session will conclude with a graduation for participants on April 16.
