Ballwin Elementary School Whiz Kids Excel At Math
Find out which students placed at a recent state contest.
The following content was supplied by the Communications Department at the Rockwood School District:
Students involved with the math team at Ballwin Elementary School received recognition for their performance at the State Math Contest, which was held on April 27 in Warrensburg, Mo. Three students placed in the state competition, including:
- Fifth-grade student Vyomesh Tripathi placed fourth in Concepts.
- Fourth-grade student Varun Goel placed fourth in Concepts.
- Fourth-grade student Prateek Gautam placed seventh in Concepts and fourth in Problem Solving.
Teacher Morgan Kapp said she is proud of her team. “After weeks of practicing, we took the state competition by storm,” said Kapp. “The team worked really hard to prepare for the contest and it’s exciting for them to receive recognition for their achievements.”
