Ballwin Elementary Takes Shopping Carts to the Next Level
Students and teachers competed in a shopping cart race to kick off a canned food drive.

But not in the manner you may expect. Teachers worked with students to decorate shopping carts for a cart race outside the elementary school. The race launched a canned food drive aimed at showing students a way to give back to the community.
Collections for the canned food drive begin Sept. 17 and will be donated to community food shelters, according to the Rockwood Schools report.
