Cast Your Vote for Ballwin's Best Young Writers' Works!

A contest hosted by children's author Jennifer Hartvickson offers Ballwin students the chance to showcase their literary talents.

Aspriring young writers from , and elementary schools have the chance to display their work to an audience outside the school yard through an active contest in the week ahead.

The competition is hosted by writer Jennifer Hartvickson, author of "Mister Lemur's Train of Thought," the 2011 winner of the Moonbeam Children's Book Award for children's poetry, who collected writing from Ballwin-area students earlier this month and will be accepting nominations for the best works through Monday; nominations for work from students at in Fenton will be accepted through midnight on Friday, April 6.
