Citizen’s Police Academy

The Ballwin Police Department will be conducting a Citizen’s Police Academy beginning September 28th, 2011 at 7:00 pm.  The academy will last ten weeks and will meet on Wednesdays through November 30th, with sessions lasting two hours.  Participants will receive instruction on patrol techniques, crime scene processing, police communications, traffic enforcement and accident investigation.

The academy is designed to give interested citizens a better idea of how their police department operates and how the police work within the criminal justice system.

To participate a person must be 18 years of age or older, a Ballwin resident or work within the city limits.  Those interested can contact Officer Dan Hawk or Officer Sarah Bonsee at 636-227-9636 to receive an academy application, or email us @ dhawk@ballwin.mo.us or sbonsee@ballwin.mo.us
