The Longhorns will honor senior players Friday at halftime for Senior Night, followed by a special jersey retirement ceremony for former Longhorn, Mizzou Tiger and current Jacksonville Jaguar quarterback Blaine Gabbert.

Patch: The Longhorns face University City this week. What strengths do you feel your team has against them?

Parkway West Head Football Coach Jeff Duncan: Last year we were able to move the ball on the ground against U. City and control the line of scrimmage. We are hoping to accomplish the same this week.

Patch: How have you seen team members step up throughout the season to fill in gaps or assume roles of leadership?

Duncan: We have a good core group of seniors who have stood strong together all season. I am starting to see some of our juniors step out and be good vocal leaders which is a positive.

Patch: Who are the seniors on the team being recognized this Friday?

Duncan: Ryan Demuri, J.C. Demuri, Jon Demuri, Quentin Key, Kris Maddox, Mustafa Saffaf, Harlan Smith, Sinan Vakassi, Nick Krull, Michael Johnson, Jerrod Williams

Patch: Do you think there's an added pressure being the last home game of the season, pulling for that win?

Duncan: I don't think so. I would like to think that our kids play hard each week and treat each week the same.

Patch: Sum up this year's senior class of football players in three words.

Duncan: Coachable, fun, never quit
