The Parkway School District's annual book sale, set for June 21 and 22 this year, is a great opportunity if your personal library is looking light or you need a doorstopping volume for a summer beach trip.

According to the district, it's one of events of its kind in the metro area, featuring more than 100,000 books covering a range of genres, such as fiction, non-fiction, autobiographies, how-to and textbooks.

Enlarging your personal collection will be cheap as well, with every book priced at 50 cents. The majority of the books are hardback and in excellent condition.

The book sale takes place at Parkway Central Middle School, 471 N. Woods Mill Rd., in Chesterfield. Hours are 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. June 21 and 8 a.m.-noon June 22.
