League of Women Voters Sponsoring Rockwood Candidates Forum

Ellisville resident Victor Hieken is one of four official candidates for the Rockwood school board, which will have two of its seats determined in the April elections.

Residents around Ellisville and Ballwin will have the chance to hear first-hand from candidates for the Rockwood school board at a forum early next month, the Rockwood School District announced this week.

The event is being sponsored by the League of Women Voters of St. Louis, and will include four candidates competing for two open seats on the board; incumbent Peggy Devoy and recently-appointed incumbent Geoff Rigabar both indicated they would not be seeking election this spring.

Ellisville resident Victor Hieken, a certified public accountant under UHY Advisors, is among the pool of candidates, along with William Brown of Eureka, Sherri Rogers of Chesterfield, and fellow Chesterfield-resident Jennifer Kelly. In addition to questions developed by the League of Women Voters, those in attendance will have the opportunity to pose their own questions to the candidates.

The forum will take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Tuesday, March 6 at Crestview Middle School in Ellisville. Elections will take place, Tuesday, April 3.
