"Marshall" was the victim of animal hoarding in Marshall, MO, and lived in deplorable conditions until the Humane Society stepped in a couple of years ago. After several surgeries to save this special dog, he lost one of his front legs from an infection due to the abuse and neglect of his first owner, but with a strong and resilient spirit he survived.

His new owner, Cyndi Willenbrock, adopted Marshall and together they speak to groups of children to promote a message of acceptance and persistence while standing strong against bullying. "Be confident in your abilities", "Try your best", and remember "What's on the inside is more important than what's on the outside".
