New Assistant Principal Hired for Lafayette High School

Colleen Fields joins the administrative team at in as assistant principal. 

She replaces who accepted the position of coordinator of Rockwood's in .

Fields began her career in education at Lafayette High 13 years ago as a language arts teacher. For the last seven years, she also served as the Language Arts Department Chairperson.

During this time, she served as a Professional Learning Community (PLC) leader and trainer and as a presenter for both national and local conferences.

Fields earned both a bachelor’s degree in mass communication-television/radio and a master’s degree in secondary reading from Southern Illinois University. She will complete a master’s degree in educational leadership from Maryville University in July, according to Rockwood records.
