Parkway South Assistant Principal Eric Wilheim reports all four students were evaluated and released from the hospital by Thursday evening.

Students underwent x-rays as part of their evaluation at the hospital.

Kelly said the district is still not sure exactly how the crash happened.

"It just rear-ended it," Kelly tells Patch. "We really don't know."

The back window was shattered in the front bus.

Kelly said the buses were Durham buses, therefore the drivers are not Parkway drives so district officials are not sure of the next steps involved in the investigation of the accident.
