JFK Grad Scholarships Equal Nearly $60K Per Student

Ballwin students at the Catholic High School will head to Lindenwood University, Southern Methodist University following Tuesday's ceremony at Cathedral Basilica in St. Louis.

Seniors who graduated from John F. Kennedy Catholic High School on Tuesday not only completed four years of academics, activities and other accomplishments tied to successfull classes – they did so while raising the equivalent of more than $57,000 per student in college scholarships.

Almost two-thirds of this year's seniors received scholarship funding, in addition to seven students who received "full ride" college tuition offers.

Graduates will head to universities including University of Missouri, Missouri State and St. Louis Community College - Meramec. Class Valedictorian Madeleine Heppermann of Ballwin will head to Lindenwood University, while class Salutatorian Josh Doerr, also from Ballwin, will attend Southern Methodist University in Dallas, TX.
