Ballwin Baseballers to Prep for New Season

Balls-n-Strikes Ballwin will welcome players of all skill levels as baseball camps in Ballwin get started this weekend.

With major league spring training now underway, the next generation of baseball's greatest players are poised start camps in Ballwin, some starting as soon as Sunday.

Balls-n-Strikes in Ballwin will begin their 6 week classes on Sunday, meeting one hour per week for six consecutive weeks at the same time slot. Participating players will then get their pick of what skills to hone, with each player choosing to focus on hitting, pitching, fielding or catching throughout the camp.

Balls-n-Strikes representatives said the camps are especially helpful for first-year pithchers, though all skill levels are encouraged to sign up.

"We have kids that don't own a glove to kids who play all year a long" taking part in the camp, Ballwin office manager Shannon Hoffman said.

Classes will happen Mondays, Wednesday and Sundays. Organizers said the February class is the most popular of the year and "sells out every year" and are encouraged to register as soon as possible. Cost of the 6-week class is $175 per player.

Balls-n-Strikes also will be offering team-training this summer, as well as four weeks of summer camps specifically tailored to softball. To register or learn more about programs at Balls-n-Strikes in Ballwin, please visit their official website.
