Ballwin Wraps Up 2012 Race Series

The following information was provided by the City of Ballwin Parks and Recreation Department.

Ballwin Parks and Recreation Department awarded the top point-earners from the 2012 Ballwin Race Series this week. Prizes were given at the Pointe at Ballwin Commons Dec. 6. 

One man and one woman won at each place level. The top finishers and their prizes included:

• First place: Sara Nelson and James Nelson received a $100 Ballwin Schwinn gift card, $100 Swim Bike Run gift card and $150 Ballwin Bucks gift card for recreation programs.
• Second place: Lisa Yates and Mike Wyatt received a $75 Ballwin Cycles gift card, $75 Swim Bike Run gift card and $100 Ballwin Bucks gift card.
• Third place: Sarah Linn and William Halaz received a $50 Ballwin Cycles gift card, $30 Swim Bike Run gift card and $50 Ballwin Bucks gift card.

The 2012 Ballwin Race Series included eight races: Upside Down Indoor Triathlon, Dirty Spokes Mountain Bike Race, Conquer Castlewood Team Adventure Race, Ballwin Days Run, Ballwin Triathlon, Ballwin Kids’ Triathlon, Zombie Chase Trail Run, and Midnight Howl 5K.

The first race of the 2013 series is the Upside Down Indoor Triathlon Jan. 19 and 20. For more information on the series or to register for a race, go to www.ballwin.mo.us.
