Ballwinite Gets 4th Place at Ellisville 5K

The 5K Race hosted by the City of Ellisville this weekend featured more than 120 local racers who raised money that will benefit the families of fallen military service members.

Runners at the City of Ellisville's 5K Race benefiting the the Special Operations Warrior Foundation this weekend enjoyed exceptional weather, which may have helped the performances of the day's 128 race finishers.

Among the runners was Ballwin's Matt Mercurio, 36, who finished out with a time of 23 minutes and 8.8. seconds to land in fourth place overall on Saturday. The top spot overall went to Jason Denton, 31, of Creve Coeur, who finished in 20 minutes and 8.8 seconds.
