Ellisville's Finder Set for Missouri Southern Volleyball

Abby Finder was a two-year starter for the girl's varsity volleyball team at Lafayette High School, KOAM reports.

graduate Abby Finder is heading to Missouri Southern State University as one of nine incoming players at the Joplin school, KOAM reports.

The CBS television station said the 5'8" setter was a two-year starter for the Lafayette, where she become an All-Conference, All-Metro and All-State winner in 2010. Finder also was named an Academic All-State player.

Finder said she intends to study nursing at Missouri Southern, where her father, Thomas, played football.

"Abby is used to winning," Missouri Southern volleyball coach Trish Knight told KOAM. "Abby is a great setter and plays smart.Β  She is also a lefty, which is a huge asset for a setter. She can really take a nice swing as well. I am really looking forward to having Abby on the team. She brings a lot of athletic ability to our setter position."
