Mizzou Triple Jumper from Ballwin Breaks Meet Record

Jeremy Lampley of Ballwin set a new personal-best and set a meet record at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge this weekend.

Jeremy Lampley of Ballwin won the men's triple jump at the Missouri Collegiate Challenge this weekend, setting a new meet record and also snagging a personal-best for the athlete.

Lampley, a freshman who graduated from McCluer High School, measured in at 15.17 meters, beating the Columbia meet's old record of 13.95 meters. Mizzou jumpers created extra buzz at Friday's meet via teammates Malcolm Pennix and Nicholas Ford, who came in first and second place respectively in long jump with distances of 7.55 meters and 7.22 meters, both of which surpassed the meet's old record of 6.92 meters.
