Parkway West Falls to Seckman

Jaguars running back Blake Pepper scores four touchdowns as Seckman crushes Parkway West, 35-0.

Seckman was looking for its first victory of the 2011 season against Parkway West (1-2) on Friday night. West had a two-game losing streak.

Seckman coasted to an unexpected 35-0 home victory.

After the opening kickoff, every Jaguars defender sprinted downfield and focused on Parkway West's Ed Carter, who ended up mishandling the initial reception. Seckman swarmed on him, putting Parkway West deep in its own territory. That set the tone for the rest of the game.

Seckman’s defensive squad was relentless in its attack throughout the night.

When the Jaguars were able to have their first chance at the ball, senior quarteback Jeff Dattoli immediately placed it in the hands of running back Blake Pepper. He seemed to either go around, over or just straight through the Longhorns defensive line.

Pepper accumulated 84 yards in 13 carries, and also scored two touchdowns in the first half.

When the second half began, it was pretty much the same story.  Every time Parkway West seemed to start any offensive momentum, the Jaguars would find ways to halt the Longhorns in their tracks.

Parkway West was overwhelmed in almost every aspect of the game.

Pepper went on to score two more touchdowns in the stunning shutout of the Longhorns.
