Ellisville Farmers Market Is In Full-Swing
Put it on your 'to-do' list: The Ellisville Farmers Market
You're missing out on great produce, family-friendly fun and live music if you haven't been to Ellisville Farmers Market this summer.
The market is held from 4 to 7 p.m. every Thursday at Bluebird Park, just south of Manchester and Clarkson, off Kiefer Creek. The market is adjacent to the new , the playground and the amphitheater. And yes, the market will happen, even in the heat. There will be lots of cold water and tents for escaping the sun.Β
A variety of farmers and vendors bring their produce, specialty foods and crafts to sell within the community. There's always an entertaining and educational children's activity, thanks to the dedication of volunteer Laurel.Β The photos accompanying the article offer a glimpse of the various farmers/vendors attending at some time during the current season. Here's a partial list of offerings since the season opened June 2:

Some folks plan their evening around the market. They arrive in time to find a choice spot for the free concert that begins in the amphitheater as the market closes. Each week brings a different band; the Ralph Butler Band performs this evening. Once a concert site is selected, concert-goers can shop for fresh produce, pick up a delicious take out meal, and purchase beer, wine or soft drinks at the market before settling in at the amphitheater.Β Others come directly from visiting the Edge Aquatic Center, pick up a few things for dinner and head home.
There are many options for a fun afternoon and evening at Bluebird Park. On Thursdays, they revolve around the Farmers Market. Check it out!
