A College Fair, The City Manager Situation & Wreck It Ralph

We're looking at items of interest to residents in Ballwin and Ellisville coming up this week.

  • Monday night, Marquette High School hosts a Rockwood School District college fair for families looking for information about continuing your child's education at the next level, starting at 6:30 p.m.
  • Tuesday, we'll let you know who's hiring in the area.
  • Wednesday night, the Ellisville City Council is scheduled to meet at 7 p.m. Among the items on the agenda is a move to allow Lukas Liquor to sell spirits by the glass, in an attempt to keep up with similar offerings at area grocery stores.
  • By Thursday, we could know one way or another if Ellisville City Manager Kevin Bookout has appealed a City Council motion to dismiss him, which passed on September 11. Under the city charter he has five days to appeal, although it isn't clear if that is interpreted to mean calendar days or business days.
  • Friday night, head to Bluebird Park to watch the Disney animated film Wreck It Ralph under the stars starting at sunset. The movie is free.
