A Taste Of Parkway, Hayrides & Homecoming

We're taking a look at events and activities going on around Ballwin and Ellisville this weekend.

  • Thursday night, head over to a Taste of Parkway West High School, starting at 5:30 p.m., for a sampling of local fare from area restaurants. Tickets are $12 at the door and proceeds benefit graduation parties for the classes of 2014 and 2015.
  • The Ellisville Community Farmers Market holds its penultimate session of the season at Bluebird Park Thursday, starting at 4 p.m. Check out the homegrown and hand-crafted goods for sale.
  • After you're done shopping the market, how about a hayride around the park, starting at 6:30? You can do just that, along with getting some roasted hot dogs and marshmallows. The hayrides will return on Thursdays in October.
  • Friday, homecoming activities at Parkway West kick into high gear with a 1:30 p.m. fall pep rally, a 5 p.m. parade in the nearby Brook Hill subdivision and a 7 p.m. football game against Rockwood Summit as the Longhorns try to notch their first win of the season.
