Jonathan Erwood, of Ballwin, faces a number of felony charges in connection to a recent theft investigation in Glendale.
The following information was provided by the Glendale Police Department and court documents. An arrest or charge does not indicate a conviction. May 7: A Ballwin man is charged with stealing a woman’s debit card and using it to withdraw cash, police said. Jonathan Clark Erwood, 23, of the 500 block of Seven Trails Drive in Ballwin, was charged with stealing a credit device, a class C felony, and fraudulent use of a credit card, a class A misdemeanor. Glendale Police said Erwood stole the card at 937 Hawbrook Road in Glendale. He was captured on video surveillance making a transaction with the stolen card April 4, police said. Police said Zachary Cain's blood-alcohol content was more than twice the legal limit.
A Ballwin man faces a third alcohol-related driving offense after Webster Groves Police pulled him over on Interstate 44. Zachary Eli Cain, 23, of the 700 block of Reinke Road in Ballwin, was charged April 25 with driving while intoxicated as a persistent offender, a class D felony. Webster Groves Police said an officer pulled Cain over after seeing him speeding and passing each vehicle on I-44 at about 10:27 a.m. Sept. 16, eventually striking another vehicle. The officer said noticed a strong odor of alcohol on Cain, and saw he had bloodshot and watery eyes. Police said an employee at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community in West County was arrested for theft thanks to surveillance video.
The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Patch contacted police after we were alerted to this incident at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community, 13900 Clayton Road in Town and Country, by an email from a Patch reader. Police tell Patch, a resident of Mari de Villa told management on April 19 that they were the victim of theft. Detectives met with Mari de Villa staff that same day and began the investigation, authorities stated. According to investigators, a surveillance camera identified the theft suspect on April 22 who was then arrested on April 23 when she arrived for work. Ellisville police are investigating a report of larceny involving the Assistance League of St. Louis building.

Larceny: On March 13, police received a report that the downspout of the Assistance League of St. Louis building at 30 Henry Avenue was torn off and stolen. A housekeeper is accused of stealing six pairs of earrings and an antique, silver wine coaster from a Clarkson Valley home in which she worked. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Kimberly E. Worthing, 49, of the 2800 block of Moravec Drive in High Ridge, was charged Feb. 27 with felony stealing. Worthing also was charged with a similar theft in Glendale. Glendale Police working on that case said they discovered Worthing sold several earrings, which belonged to the victim in Clarkson Valley, to a jewelry store in Creve Coeur. Ballwin police report a fleeing burglary suspects lands in police custody, while narcotics disappear from an unlocked car.

Feb. 22: At approximately 1:58 p.m, a burglary suspect was reportedly confronted by a homeowner in the 1000 block of Kehrs Mill Road. Police stated the suspect fled the area, but was caught minutes later by Ballwin police officers. Authorities said he was found hiding in a nearby culvert, arrested and charged with first degree burglary. Feb. 23: Some time between 3 to 11 a.m., police stated ten hydrocodone pills were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Ganahl Drive. Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Here are the results from last weekend's Operation A.R.R.E.S.T. in St. Louis County. It was focused on cracking down on impaired driving.
Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP) officers released the results in of the crackdown in a news release. As previously reported by Patch, “Operation A.R.R.E.S.T” (Alcohol Related Response Enforcement Strike Team) took place last weekend in St. Louis County Saturday. According to the recent news release, the eight-hour operation netted the following results.

A West St. Louis County woman had her 6-year-old daughter in her car when she was arrested for drunk driving and assaulted a police officer, according to police.
Rachel Wilcox, 27, of unincorporated West. St. Louis County was charged Thursday with driving while intoxicated. (Sign up here for the FREE Patch Newsletter, including Breaking News Alerts.) According to Officer Melissa Doss with the St. Peters Police Department, the DWI charge and others stem from a Jan. 6 incident where Wilcox was arrested, suspected of DWI. Doss said the woman's 6-year-old daughter was in the car at the time. Kirkwood Police said two men stole NFC championship and Big 12 championship rings among other items from the home.
Two men stole more than $28,000 in electronics and jewelry, including NFC championship ring and Big 12 championship rings, on Dec. 31 from the Kirkwood home of Rob Boras, the St. Louis Rams tight ends coach. James Bright, of the 6200 block of Sunshine Drive in High Ridge, and Jeffrey Medcalf, of the 1100 block of Briarhurst in West County, were charged Friday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing more than $25,000, a class B felony. Kirkwood Police said the men broke into Boras’ home at about 1:28 p.m. Dec. 31.
