Congratulations! My son knows all three of these boys and they inspire him. The recognition is well deserved for their teachers, the talent recognition teams and their peers for supporting them on the path to their achievements. Continued excellence upon them all, I wish. -- Yoda   more ›

Agreed Mike K. It was my daughters girl scout troop that saw and reported the last fire. I guess the PSO needs to buy security cameras next.   more ›

Ballwin Elementary Gets Tooth Fairy Visit

Students at the grade school on Jefferson Avenue got to meet with an unusual celebrity this past week.

The tooth fairy and her aides may normally make only house calls, but for the boys and girls of Ballwin Elementary School, she was willing to make an exception. Dressed up as the mythical tooth-collector, Dr. Shahnaz Ahmed of West County Pediatric Dentistry visited first grade and kindergarten students at the school last week as part of Dental Health Month. Her helper, Zoloff the dragon, helped Ahmed illustrate key messages to the young students, including proper brushing technique and what foods to avoid in order to hang on to those pending permanent teeth.
