Club Fitness Member Falls Victim to Theft

Plus, Balllwin police are investigating the thefts of more than 50 tools stolen from a vehicle overnight.

May 7 - 8: Between 11:30 p.m., May 7 and 7:00 a.m., May 8, a three drawer toolbox containing over fifty tools was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of Steamboat Lane. The total loss is estimated at over $2200. May 8: Between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., a cell phone was stolen out of an unlocked locker in the women’s locker room of Club Fitness, located at 15245 Manchester Road.  The loss is estimated at $150. Ballwin Police Searching For Theft Suspect Caught on Surveillance Camera

The Ballwin Department released these surveillance photos of a man they want to talk to in connection to recent thefts at Walgreens.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, at approximately 9:21 p.m., May 3, a man stole two cell phones, along with the metal rack they were attached to, from the Walgreens, located at 15253 Manchester Road. Police released the surveillance photos, seen in the photo portion of this article, of a man they want to talk to in connection to the crime. The man is described as being between 5’8” – 6’ tall, 190 pounds, late 40s to early 50s, with greying hair.  The loss of the stolen items is estimated at over $200, police stated. Ballwin Police, Target Give Local Charity More Than $1,200

The Ballwin Police Department and Target presented Circle of Concern with $1,237 thanks to a community document shredding event.

The following details about raising the money for West County's Circle of Concern were provided by the Ballwin Police Department in a news release. On April 15, 2012 the Ballwin Police Department and the Ballwin Target store presented a check for $1237.00 to Circle of Concern representative Chris Pallozola.  The money was raised during a community shred event hosted by Ballwin’s Target Store and staffed by Ballwin Police Officers on April 6, 2013.  This was the second year for this effort which also collected 484 individual food items for The Circle and securely shredded 7300 pounds of documents for area residents.

Ballwin Police Participating in Drug Take Back This Week

Drop off your unwanted prescription drugs Saturday at the Donald Loehr Police and Courts Center in Ballwin's Vlasis Park.

The Ballwin Police Department is encouraging people to drop off their unwanted and expired prescription drugs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturday, April 27. No questions will be asked of those dropping of drugs.  Details of the of the effort to dispose of prescription drugs properly are in the following new release sent out by police. On April 27 from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. the Ballwin Police Department and the Drug Enforcement Administration (DEA) will give the public its sixth opportunity in three years to prevent pill abuse and theft by ridding their homes of potentially dangerous expired, unused, and unwanted prescription drugs.  Bring your medications for disposal to Ballwin …

Ballwin Police Investigating Vlasis Park Property Damage

Ballwin police are searching for suspects after a restroom was spray painted at Vlasis Park.

Police Investigating Theft at Club Fitness

Ballwin police are investigating after keys were stolen from a locker, then used to steal items from a car in the parking lot.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, sometime between 12:50 and 2:10 p.m. on March 22, a set of keys was stolen out of an unlocked locker at Club Fitness, located at 15425 Manchester Road. Police said the keys were then used to gain access to the owner’s vehicle and steal a wallet, debit card and $20. Police said the keys and fob are valued at more than $160. RELATED ARTICLES:

$3,000 Laptop Stolen From Ballwin Home

Ballwin police are investigating after a $3,000 computer was reportedly stolen from a home on Woodgreen Drive.

$550 in Jewelry Stolen From Ballwin Home, Police Say

Ballwin police are searching for a suspect after someone entered an unlocked home and reportedly made off with hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, sometime between 12:15 and 3:00 p.m. on March 6, several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home on Mountview Court. Based on crime rates among cities with more than 25,000 residents, Ballwin ranks high. See how high—and whether any other Missouri sites made the list.

How safe is Ballwin? What are your chances of being a victim of violent crime? Property crime? According to Location Inc., a service that analyzes "location-based data and risk analysis information for corporate users nationwide," Ballwin ranks No. 47 in the 100 safest communities with more than 25,000 residents. The ranking is a drop from the 2012 list, which put Ballwin No. 31.  Ballwin was the only Missouri city to make the top 100 on Location's "NeighborhoodScout" service in both 2012 and 2013.
