Ballwin Woman Sent to Hospital Following One-Car Crash

The crash occurred on Highway 141 near Schneider Drive, Fenton.

A Ballwin woman was hospitalized after her SUV ran off the road on Highway 141 in Fenton, spun around, struck a curb and overturned near Schneider Drive, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol. Janet Weinrich, 68, of Ballwin, was transported to St. Anthony's Medical Center after the crash, with injuries described as moderate, according to the MSHP. The patrol report stated that Weinrich's 2000 Jeep Crand Cherokee was travelling southbound on Hwy. 141 at the time of the crash. Her vehicle was described as a total loss.

Parkway Student Who Suffered Brain Injury On Road to Recovery

Alison Owen has left the intensive care unit of St. Louis Children's Hospital, according to updates provided by her family, and has begun physical therapy.

The Parkway West sophomore who suffered a brain hemorrhage and other injuries during a car accident earlier this month is out of intensive care. Alison Owen remains a patient at St. Louis Children’s Hospital but since moving out of the ICU on Feb. 12, she has been undergoing physical therapy and making good progress, according to Owen’s profile on CaringBridge.com. Owen’s injuries, including broken vertebrae and bruised lungs, were the result of a car accident in Chesterfield Feb. 1. Man Hospitalized With Injuries From Crash Involving Ballwin Driver

Police report a Ballwin man was driving a truck that struck a motorcycle this week sending one person to the hospital.

Randy J. Powell, 34 of High Ridge, was riding his 2004 Harley Davidson motorcycle and making making a left turn Monday onto Capetown Village Road when he was struck by a 200 Chevrolet S10 pickup truck that failed to yield the right-of-way, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Moore, 27, of Ballwin, was the driver of the truck that the MSHP report stated struck the side of Powell's motorcycle, sending Powell to SSM St. Clare Health Center with moderate injuries. Ballwin 3-Year-Old Air-Evacuated, Woman Hospitalized After Car Accident

Authorities indicate the accident was a result of the driver overcorrecting while traveling on northbound Interstate 55.

Wildwood resident Robin Baker was driving her 2008 Pontiac Grand Prix northbound on Interstate 55 in Ste. Genevieve County Friday when her car exited the road to the left at 11:55 a.m. According to a Missouri State Highway Patrol report, Baker overcorrected and the Grand Prix then exited the right side of the interstate before striking a rock bluff and overturning. The accident occurred at mile marker 158. Baker, 57, had a 3-year-old Ballwin resident, Mason Spencer, in the car at the time of the accident. Spencer was taken by an air evacuation team to St. Louis Children's Hospital, according to the accident report.  Baker was taken to Jefferson Memorial Medical Center by a Ste. Ballwin Woman Injured in One-Car Crash on Interstate 55

Missouri State Highway Patrol report.

Jennifer Samuels, 22, of Ballwin, sustained moderate injuries as the result of a one-car crash Monday on Interstate 55, according to a report by the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Samuels was travelling southbound on I-55 at Mile Marker 134.6 at 5:32 p.m. Monday when her 1999 Saturn SW2 ran off the left side of the roadway, struck the median cable and overturned, the MSHP report stated. The report didn't provide details about the crash, but indicated Samuels was wearing a seat belt. Samuels was taken to Perry County Memorial Hospital for treatment for her injuries. Ballwin Man Injured in I-270 Crash

Traffic was stop-and-go from Page Avenue to the Interstate 70 and I-270 intersection from about noon to 2 p.m. Wednesday.

Update at 7:47 p.m. Aug. 29 The Missouri State Highway Patrol has released the identity of a High Ridge, Mo., woman who died in Wednesday's crash. The patrol says Mary Barnett, 28, of High Ridge, was driving a 2005 Ford Focus when she tried to change lanes heading northbound on Interstate 270. Her vehicle struck one car and was struck by another. A fourth vehicle was also involved in the accident. All four drivers were transported to De Paul Hospital where Bennett was pronounced dead. The other three drivers, including Michael Black, of Ballwin, were treated for minor injuries. UPDATE: Clayton Road Closed, Four Injured in Car Accident in Chesterfield

A reported wreck at Clayton near Claymoor Drive has one victim in the hospital for injuries.

Updated at 3:50 p.m. Chesterfield Police accident reconstruction officers are working to determine what happened this morning in the intersection of Clayton Road and Claymoor Road, where three vehicles were involved in a crash that closed traffic for more than three hours.  Traffic was opened a little before 3 p.m. and most of the debris has been removed from the scene.  The vehicles crashed nearby Parkway West High School at around 10 a.m.. Four people were injured and taken to area hospitals with one of the victims reportedly having severe head injuries, said Chesterfield Police Capt. Update: Man Died Today From Injuries in Sunday's Car Crash on Manchester

The man was the passenger in a car that pulled in the way of a pickup truck Sunday afternoon.

Updated at 2:55 p.m. Wednesday. A man in his 60s was confirmed dead today by a spokesman for the Ellisville Police Department, three days after a crash on Manchester Road Sunday afternoon. Sgt. Nancy Walker said in an email and phone call today that man, described only as a Ballwin man in his 60s, had died. This followed several hour of confusion; Walker had initially reported on Tuesday that he died, but later indicated that he may have been "brain dead" at the time. The man and his wife, both in their 60s, suffered injuries in a car crash Sunday afternoon. He was the passenger in a Toyota sedan that pulled into the path of a westbound pickup truck on Manchester Road, police said. His wife, who was driving, is still hospitalized, …
