Ballwin Man Arrested in Connection With Fatal Car Crash in Imperial

The crash occurred in the early morning hours Wednesday in Imperial.

Daniel J. McGrath, 49, of Ballwin, was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of manslaughter and driving while intoxicated in connection with a car crash Wednesday (Jan. 21) in which his passenger, Angela Chadd, 37, of Imperial, was killed, according to an arrest report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Ballwin Man Involved in Early Morning Car Crash

A woman from Imperial was killed in the accident.

Daniel McGrath, 49, of Ballwin, was involved in an early morning car accident Wednesday (Jan. 16) on Miller Road, east of Spring Forest Drive, Imperial, according to a crash report from the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP). Angela Chadd, 37, of Imperial, was killed in the accident. According to the MSHP, Chadd was a passenger in a vehicle driven by McGrath that was travelling eastbound on Miller Road. McGrath failed to negotiate a turn, ran off the road, struck a rock and a tree and then overturned. Chadd was pronounced dead at the scene at 1:52 a.m. by the Rock Township Ambulance District staff. McGrath sustained minor injuries and was taken to St. Anthony's Medical Center, according to the MSRP. Neither Chadd nor McGrath were wearing…

Person Involved in Clayton Road Car Accident Dies

The Chesterfield police department could not confirm if the death was related to the crash.

One of the victims of a three-car crash last week in Chesterfield has died, the Chesterfield Police Department confirmed. The accident occurred at approximately 10 a.m. Aug. 29 in the intersection of Clayton and Claymoor Roads, a few blocks from Parkway West High School. Both lanes of Clayton Road were closed for several hours as accident reconstruction crews investigated the scene. Four people involved in that accident were injured and taken to area hospitals with one of the victims reportedly having severe head injuries, said Chesterfield Police Capt. Steven Lewis. Lewis could not confirm which of the victims died or any further information at the time.  Patch will bring you more updates on this story as they become available.

UPDATE: Victims Identified in Ellisville Fatal Car Wreck

The crash last week involved three victims in two vehicles near a Blockbuster in Ellisville.

The Ellisville Police Department released the names of three victims involved in a two-vehicle crash on Manchester Road Aug. 19. Eric Puronen of Ballwin died a few days after from injuries incurred from the accident. His wife, Victoria, was driving a Toyota sedan when the couple pulled out onto Manchester into the path of a green Chevy pickup truck, as previously reported by Patch. Victoria may still be in the hospital, according to Sgt. Nancy Walker of the Ellisville Police Department. The driver of the Chevy truck is Joshua Jones of House Spring.
