More Than $100 in Cash Taken from Unlocked Vehicle in Ballwin

Ballwin Police Department provides information on crime incidents in the area.

A car thief hit the jackpot in Ballwin last week, grabbing more than $100 in cash out of an unlocked vehicle. The Ballwin Police reported that sometime between 4 p.m., Jan. 23, and 5 a.m., Jan. 24, an unknown suspect entered an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of Vail Court and took $120 cash.  This information was supplied by the Ballwin Police Department. Ellisville Police: Laptop Stolen from Unlocked Car's Backseat

This week's crime report included another high-worth item left in sight in an unlocked vehicle.

An unfortunate trend is occurring: Ellisville and Ballwin police reports continue to include stolen items from unlocked vehicles. This week, Ellisville Police reported another similar situation. Between 6 p.m. Aug. 21 and 7:15 a.m. Aug. 22, a laptop computer was stolen from the backseat of an unlocked vehicle parked in a residence driveway on the 1200 block of Polo Lake Drive. The laptop was valued at $800. This information was supplied by the Ellisville Police Department. It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.  RELATED ARTICLES:
