Vietnam Vet and Woman Who Helps Veterans Awarded a Car
The O'Fallon brother and sister were honored for their work with veterans by Ballwin's Tide Dry Cleaners and the Cars4Heroes organization in Kansas City.
Sandy Brackman and her brother Cecil Warren thought they were coming to Ballwin from their O'Fallon home to award a car to a deserving military veteran. What they didn't know was they were the ones who would get the car. With the passing of a set of keys to the 1999 Saturn SC, Brackman clasped her hands over her mouth and let the tears flow. "You don't know how much this means to me," she said later, after she'd composed herself. "I don't usually stutter like this."
