Expect Traffic Delays: Pavement Repairs on Clarkson Road This Week

MoDOT begins pavement repair work on Clarkson Road between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive Tuesday. Drivers should expect lane closures.

Addition to article on March 26, 2013 @ 1:47 p.m.: Missouri Department of Transportation crews just announced they will postpone the pavement repair work on Clarkson Road that was scheduled to begin today, due to winter weather. Instead, a MoDOT spokesperson tells Patch the pavement repair work will begin April 1, weather permitting, at various locations on Clarkson between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive. Crews will focus on this section with a one-lane closure on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists can expect delays, so allow plenty of time for your commute. “Postponing the pavement repair work is necessary due to the major snow storm this time of year and too much moisture in the pavement,” said Michelle Voegele, MoDOT Area Engineer…

UPDATE: Clayton Road Closed, Four Injured in Car Accident in Chesterfield

A reported wreck at Clayton near Claymoor Drive has one victim in the hospital for injuries.

Updated at 3:50 p.m. Chesterfield Police accident reconstruction officers are working to determine what happened this morning in the intersection of Clayton Road and Claymoor Road, where three vehicles were involved in a crash that closed traffic for more than three hours.  Traffic was opened a little before 3 p.m. and most of the debris has been removed from the scene.  The vehicles crashed nearby Parkway West High School at around 10 a.m.. Four people were injured and taken to area hospitals with one of the victims reportedly having severe head injuries, said Chesterfield Police Capt.
