The Parkway West High varsity field hockey team is looking for a win with three weeks to go in the season. The Lady Longhorns, 0-9 before their game Sept. 24, have faced tough competitors and aren't finished improving. This week is Homecoming Week for the Parkway West Longhorns. Before the dance Saturday night, a busy week of sports is planned including the Homecoming football game against rival Parkway Central Friday evening. A Homecoming parade is scheduled to start at 5 p.m. Friday. Marquette Wrestler Moves Forward at State Championships

None of the Lafayette and Parkway West wrestlers are still in the tournament.

COLUMBIA — Day two of the 2011 Missouri Wrestling State Championships has come and gone. Only 112 of the 896 wrestlers that survived day one still have a shot to win a state title. Here’s a recap of how Ballwin- and Ellisville-area schools have done so far: Parkway West (Class 3) – tied for 32nd place with seven points. No wrestlers left competing. Marquette (Class 4) – In 24th place with 18 points. Matthew Mosior (160 pounds)  is the only Marquette wrestler left out of the Mustangs' six state qualifiers, and he has a shot to earn third place with two victories on Saturday. Lafayette (Class 4) – In 16th place with 29.5 points. While the Lancers do not have a shot at placing near the top over the overall standings this year, Head Coach …
