MAP Scores Released for Parkway, Rockwood Schools

Rockwood scored fifth highest on the communication arts test in 2012.

Test scores results for the 2012 Missouri Assessment Program (MAP) showed varying areas of improvement or little change throughout the state from 2011 in primary subjects, communication arts and mathematics.  STLToday.com reports that 55 percent of students earned proficient or advanced scores in communication arts in 2012 (from 54.6 percent in 2011), and 55 percent scored in the passing range in mathematics (from 54.3 percent). Rockwood Schools scored fifth highest collectively in the communication arts test, behind Ladue, Lindbergh, Kirkwood and Clayton districts. Does anyone know what's going on with Wren Hollow? Why have the scores declined so dramatically for the past two years? I could understand if they were consistently low, but why such a dramatic decline. You can see a history of the scores here: http://www.schooldigger.com/go/MO/schools/2358001405/school.aspx   more ›
