MoDOT: Senior PGA Tournament to Close Roads

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports its St. Louis work zones for May 16-22.

The Senior PGA golf tournament comes to St. Louis and it will include road closures beginning next week. Route AB (Ladue Road) will be closed between Route 141 and Mason Road from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. daily from Tuesday, May 21 through Sunday, May 26. Mason Road will also be closed during these same hours and days from West Wailing to Ladue Road. The Missouri Department of Transportation will have lane closures on a few interstates this weekend. Two lanes will be closed on southbound I-170 at Route 180 (St. Charles Rock Road) at 9 p.m. Friday, May 17 to perform preventative maintenance on the I-170 bridge over Route 180.  Only one lane will remain open on southbound I-170.   In addition, the ramp from southbound I-170 to Route 180 and the ramp…

MoDOT: Blasting Continues on I-270, Be Aware of Crews On All State Roads

Missouri Department of Transportation reports its St. Louis Work zones for May 2-8.

Missouri Department of Transportatation's maintenance crews are continuing to work daily on touching up striping on state roads around the region. Drivers should be aware of slow moving maintenance operations on roadways as crews continue to work on putting on a new coat of paint. When drivers see a MoDOT vehicle with flashing lights, they should remember to slow down or move over to avoid the work ahead. Often three or more maintenance vehicles will be spaced out over some distance to complete maintenance work. In St. Louis County, blasting operations on southbound Interstate 270 near Big Bend is scheduled weekdays at 1 p.m., and will continue weekly, weather permitting. Highway 40 Closed in St. Louis This Weekend For Bridge Removal

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for April 18-24.

The Missouri Department of Transportation will close the ramp from Pine Street to westbound Interstate 64 at 9 a.m., Thursday as part of the Jefferson Avenue bridge closure. The Jefferson Avenue bridge over I-64 will close on Friday morning at 1 a.m., for approximately three months. Motorists can use Compton Avenue, 18th Street and 14th Street to detour around the closure. MoDOT will close all lanes on I-64 in both directions between Hampton and Jefferson this weekend starting at 8 p.m., Friday. Entrance ramps to eastbound I-64 will be closed from McCausland to Ewing avenues. In addition, entrance ramps to westbound I-64 will be closed from Broadway to Grand avenues. Clarkson Road Repairs Now Set for April 3

The pavement repair work on Clarkson Road between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive had been pushed back to April 8. Drivers should expect lane closures.

The start date for those repairs on portions of Clarkson Road have been changed again, here's the official word from the Missouri Department of Transportation:  The Missouri Department of Transportation will move forward with pavement repair work on Clarkson Road starting tomorrow, which was originally rescheduled for April 8 due to weather. The pavement repair work will begin Wednesday, April 3, weather permitting, at various locations on Clarkson between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive. Crews will focus on this section with a one-lane closure on weekdays from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Motorists can expect delays, so allow plenty of time for your commute. Easter Travel Alert: Highway 40 Closed This Weekend

The Missouri Department of Transportation warns drivers Highway 40 is closed this weekend, between Hampton Avenue and Forest Park Parkway.

During this holiday weekend, motorists need to be aware of two major impacts to traffic.   All lanes and ramps of Interstate 64 between Hampton and Forest Park avenues will be closed from Friday night until early Monday morning. In addition, westbound Interstate 70 at the Blanchette Missouri River Bridge will be reduced to only one lane open late Friday night until early Saturday morning. The detour for westbound I-64 will be to get off the interstate at the Forest Park Avenue exit (exit 38A) and follow Forest Park Avenue to Kingshighway. Expect Traffic Delays: Pavement Repairs on Clarkson Road This Week

MoDOT begins pavement repair work on Clarkson Road between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive Tuesday. Drivers should expect lane closures.

Addition to article on March 26, 2013 @ 1:47 p.m.: Missouri Department of Transportation crews just announced they will postpone the pavement repair work on Clarkson Road that was scheduled to begin today, due to winter weather. Instead, a MoDOT spokesperson tells Patch the pavement repair work will begin April 1, weather permitting, at various locations on Clarkson between Clayton Road and Lea Oak Drive. Watch For Crews Reparing Potholes Around St. Louis

The Missouri Department of Transportation is asking drivers to pay attention and watch for road crews as it reports the St. Louis work zones for March 21-27.

It’s the season of pothole repairing and striping work for MoDOT crews and their multiple “moving” work zones. The work requires frequent short-term stops or reduced speed on busy interstates and roadways. MoDOT is promising to repair most potholes within 24-hours of them being reported. Drivers should report potholes by calling 1-888-ASK-MoDOT or online at MoDOT.org.  Motorists should be on the lookout for trucks and give them plenty of room to work. When motorists see orange signs, they are there for a reason - Slow down and be alert. Don’t Barrel Through Work Zones. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

Traffic Alert: Lanes Closing on I-270 Next Week

Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for March 14 - 20.

Up to two lanes will be closed on southbound Interstate 270 overnight Monday through Wednesday between Manchester Road and I-44 as part of a widening project. Overnight closures of various ramps and lanes will occur on the Poplar Street Bridge in downtown St. Louis Sunday through Wednesday evening. Two entrance ramps to I-70 from Mid Rivers Mall Drive will close beginning Monday, March 18, weather permitting. The loop ramp from northbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive to westbound I-70, and the loop ramp from southbound Mid Rivers Mall Drive to eastbound I-70 will close. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

MoDOT Closing Lanes on Highway 40 Around St. Louis

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis work zones for March 7- 13.

All lanes of eastbound and westbound I-64 between Missouri Research Park and Chesterfield Airport Road could be closed for five to 10 minute durations for blasting one to two days per week at 2 p.m. These periodic short term closures are expected to occur through March. In downtown St. Louis, MoDOT bridge inspection crews will close one lane in each direction on the Poplar Street Bridge weekdays between 9 a.m. and 2 p.m. On Saturday and Sunday, workers will close one lane between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. Motorists should be aware of the following on-going closures:

MoDOT: With Wintry Weather in Forecast, Give Crews Room to Work

The Missouri Department of Transportation reports on the St. Louis area work zones through March 6.

Missouri Department of Transportation officials warn that crews may be out treating roadways and plowing in the coming week. Drivers give the trucks plenty of room to work. Commuters should also be aware of changing roadway conditions, especially in the mornings. They should slow down, and be prepared for possible ice, especially on ramps and bridges. As the weather clears, maintenance workers will be completing needed roadway maintenance, such as pavement repairs and crack sealing. Please watch for slow moving or stopped vehicles with flashing lights in traffic lanes.
