Great reporting. First Student has been reasonable about the whole thing. And thank you to those drivers from California who were willing to leave their families for a couple of weeks to help fill in for our regular drivers. How Did Rockwood Transportation Go for First Day Back To School?

As St. Louis County’s largest school district, more than 22,000 students in the Rockwood School District headed back to school this morning. Share the best, worst and most dangerous observations about student-related transportation.

Here's a chance to share how various forms of transportation fared for the first day of Rockwood School District—ones that worked well or ones that could use a little rethinking.  Rockwood officials said more than 120 buses rolled out of the bus garage located at Pond Elementary School in Wildwood to pick up 12,000-plus students across the district. Rockwood-related buses will travel more than 5 million miles this year, according to district estimates.
