We have some great local places that many would consider community gems; we have some restaurants that aren't exactly mom-and-pop but are unique to the area; and we certainly—for better or for worse—have plenty of chains lining our main streets. But what we don't have is a consistent food critic to tell us what's good and what's not. That's where you come in. We could throw some money at a professional food critic, but that's not exactly what Patch is all about. We'd much rather know the opinion of the fine folks that eat there day-in and day-out. Asian food lovers, especially those who love variety, have many interesting choices available at Kabuki Sushi & Fusion, which opened its doors this fall.
Kabuki, which dates back to one of Japan's traditional theatrical arts, often includes vibrant colors and make-up, singing, dancing and avant garde performance. For the Kabuki Sushi and Fusion restaurant now open in Ballwin, lovely presentation continues to please as visitors are presented with morsels filled with vibrant colors and garnishes prepared by a skillful sushi chef. The menu is diverse, offering sashimi, nigiri and maki on the sushi side, as well as Japanese, Vietnamese, Thai and Chinese selections for the fusion side.
