Club Fitness Member Falls Victim to Theft

Plus, Balllwin police are investigating the thefts of more than 50 tools stolen from a vehicle overnight.

May 7 - 8: Between 11:30 p.m., May 7 and 7:00 a.m., May 8, a three drawer toolbox containing over fifty tools was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in the 200 block of Steamboat Lane. The total loss is estimated at over $2200. May 8: Between 4:30 and 6:30 p.m., a cell phone was stolen out of an unlocked locker in the women’s locker room of Club Fitness, located at 15245 Manchester Road.  The loss is estimated at $150. Ballwin Police Searching For Theft Suspect Caught on Surveillance Camera

The Ballwin Department released these surveillance photos of a man they want to talk to in connection to recent thefts at Walgreens.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, at approximately 9:21 p.m., May 3, a man stole two cell phones, along with the metal rack they were attached to, from the Walgreens, located at 15253 Manchester Road. Police released the surveillance photos, seen in the photo portion of this article, of a man they want to talk to in connection to the crime. The man is described as being between 5’8” – 6’ tall, 190 pounds, late 40s to early 50s, with greying hair.  The loss of the stolen items is estimated at over $200, police stated. Retirement Community Surveillance Camera Leads to Arrest of Ballwin Woman

Police said an employee at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community in West County was arrested for theft thanks to surveillance video.

The following information was supplied by the Town and Country Police Department. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Patch contacted police after we were alerted to this incident at the Mari de Villa Retirement Community, 13900 Clayton Road in Town and Country, by an email from a Patch reader. Police tell Patch, a resident of Mari de Villa told management on April 19 that they were the victim of theft. Detectives met with Mari de Villa staff that same day and began the investigation, authorities stated. According to investigators, a surveillance camera identified the theft suspect on April 22 who was then arrested on April 23 when she arrived for work. Laptop Stolen During Ellisville Break-In

Ellisville police are investigating after someone entered an apartment through a window and stole the computer.

It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.  Burglary: Sometime between 12 and 6 p.m., April 13, an apartment on Pretoria Drive was entered through an unlocked bedroom window. West County Man Arrested in Connection to Multi-State Car Theft Ring

Sixteen people, including a Ballwin man, have been arrested in connection to a multi-state car theft conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday.

Sixteen people have been arrested on a federal indictment connected to a multi-state car theft conspiracy, according to the U.S. Attorney's Office Tuesday. Prosecutors stated Sheldon Mitchell, 42, of Ballwin is among those arrested. The following details of the case and arrests were included in a U.S. Attorney's Office press release Tuesday. Sixteen people have been arrested on a federal indictment charging twenty-one defendants involved in a multi-state car theft conspiracy.  The conspiracy is alleged to have utilized several different schemes to steal and misappropriate vehicles, commit bank fraud in order to obtain vehicles, and obtain insurance proceeds by staging accidents and filing false theft reports.         The indictment alleges…

NEWS NEARBY: Customer Gets Resolution In Dry Cleaning Dispute

A woman had been trying to get a refund from a dry cleaner on Manchester Road after she said a suit was stolen. She received her refund after contacting local media.

A woman who told Patch her husband's suit disappeared after it ended up at a Manchester dry cleaning operation now has the money she needs to go out and buy a new one. (Read Previous Story: Police Involved in Dry Cleaning Fiasco That Left Couple Out A Suit) Jenny Kyle's trouble began when she brought the suit to The Dry Clean Spot in January. When she returned a few weeks later to pick it up, she was told it was misplaced. Manchester Police said the business filed a report after as many as 80 pieces were missing. Kyle filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau to get money back to buy a new suit and over this past weekend, Kyle said she received a check for $350 after her story was featured on Patch and again on FOX2 News. Thief Targets Ellisville IHOP Employees

The theft is the latest incident reported by the Ellisville Police Department.

Employees who finished their shift at an International House of Pancakes in Ellisville last week may have ended up with less money than when they started. Police reported that an unknown individual stole money from two purses belonging to employees of the breakfast chain’s 15484 Manchester Rd. location. Sgt. Nancy Walker said the purses were hanging on hooks by the restaurant's kitchen, a place where employees commonly put their belongings. She said no arrests have been made yet in connection with the incident.  The theft occurred March 31 sometime between noon and 2:45 p.m., police said, and the total cash taken was valued at $111.  Read more Ballwin-Ellisville crime stories:

Police Investigating Theft at Club Fitness

Ballwin police are investigating after keys were stolen from a locker, then used to steal items from a car in the parking lot.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, sometime between 12:50 and 2:10 p.m. on March 22, a set of keys was stolen out of an unlocked locker at Club Fitness, located at 15425 Manchester Road. Police said the keys were then used to gain access to the owner’s vehicle and steal a wallet, debit card and $20. Police said the keys and fob are valued at more than $160. RELATED ARTICLES:

$3,000 Laptop Stolen From Ballwin Home

Ballwin police are investigating after a $3,000 computer was reportedly stolen from a home on Woodgreen Drive.

Police Investigating $225 Damage to Ellisville Building

Ellisville police are investigating a report of larceny involving the Assistance League of St. Louis building.

It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.  Larceny: On March 13, police received a report that the downspout of the Assistance League of St. Louis building at 30 Henry Avenue was torn off and stolen.
