NEWS NEARBY: Housekeeper Steals Jewelry, Antique Silver From Clarkson Valley Home, Police Say

The woman also is accused of thefts from a home in Glendale.

A housekeeper is accused of stealing six pairs of earrings and an antique, silver wine coaster from a Clarkson Valley home in which she worked. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Kimberly E. Worthing, 49, of the 2800 block of Moravec Drive in High Ridge, was charged Feb. 27 with felony stealing. Worthing also was charged with a similar theft in Glendale. Glendale Police working on that case said they discovered Worthing sold several earrings, which belonged to the victim in Clarkson Valley, to a jewelry store in Creve Coeur. The earrings were valued at $900. St. Louis County Police said the thefts occurred between June 1 and July 21. The victim on Crown Hill Lane in Clarkson Valley also discovered that two …

$550 in Jewelry Stolen From Ballwin Home, Police Say

Ballwin police are searching for a suspect after someone entered an unlocked home and reportedly made off with hundreds of dollars worth of jewelry.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, sometime between 12:15 and 3:00 p.m. on March 6, several pieces of jewelry were stolen from a home on Mountview Court. West County Man Stole Wedding Band, Dog Tags From His Mother's Closet, Police Say

St. Louis County Police said Clayton Fisher's girlfriend sold the ring to a gold buyer.

A West County man faces a criminal charge for stealing a wedding ring from his mother Feb. 19. Clayton Fisher, 30, was charged Saturday with second-degree burglary and felony stealing. St. Louis County Police said Fisher entered his mother’s home in the 1200 block of Kiefer Creek Road south of Ballwin. Police said Fisher stole a wedding band and dog tags from a lock box in his mother’s closet. Police said Fisher’s girlfriend sold the ring to a gold buyer’s shop. The ring was valued at $1,000. Fisher's address was listed the same as his mother's house on court documents. He is being held in the St. Louis County Justice Center. Bail was set at $25,000, cash only. Ballwin Burglary Suspect Caught After Allegedly Fleeing Police

Ballwin police report a fleeing burglary suspects lands in police custody, while narcotics disappear from an unlocked car.

(For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) The following information was provided by the Ballwin Police Department. An arrest does not mean there was a conviction. Feb. 22:  At approximately 1:58 p.m, a burglary suspect was reportedly confronted by a homeowner in the 1000 block of Kehrs Mill Road. Police stated the suspect fled the area, but was caught minutes later by Ballwin police officers. Authorities said he was found hiding in a nearby culvert, arrested and charged with first degree burglary. Feb. 23:  Some time between 3 to 11 a.m., police stated ten hydrocodone pills were stolen out of an unlocked vehicle in the 800 block of Ganahl Drive. Hydrocodone is a narcotic pain reliever. Police report a bank card was stolen from and unlocked car, then used to make a number of purchases in this latest edition of Ellisville Police Blotter.

Police are investigating a report of an iPhone and guitars valued at $1,600 stolen from one Ellisville residence.

Items Stolen From Car Parked in Garage, Ballwin Police Report

The Ballwin Police Department said items valued at approximately $1,800 were stolen from the car which was parked in an open garage.

According to the Ballwin Police Department, sometime between 7 and 10 p.m., Friday, Feb. 15, a purse was stolen out of an unlocked vehicle while it was parked in an open garage in the 1500 block of Buckhurst Court. Numerous personal items were reportedly in the purse when it was stolen, including credit cards and eyeglasses. The total loss is estimated to be approximately $1,800, according to police. Ballwin Man Pawned Jewelry Stolen in Burglary, Police Say

Jahmil Perkins is being held in St. Louis County jail on a $20,000 bond for selling stolen jewelry in Manchester.

Manchester Police found a Ballwin man sold several items stolen in a burglary, an officer said. (For instant news updates follow Patch on Facebook and Twitter.) Jahmil Perkins, 35, of the 200 block of Solon Drive in Ballwin, was charged Feb. 8 with receiving stolen property. Manchester Police said Perkins sold jewelry, including silver chains, which were stolen from a home in Manchester during a recent burglary. Police said he sold the jewelry at a store at 14360 Manchester Road. Perkins told police the jewelry belonged to his family. Perkins was being held at St. Louis County jail Friday. Police Believe the Same Suspect Behind String of Ballwin Vehicle Break-Ins

Ballwin Police have assigned detectives to track down any leads on the individual or individuals responsible for a series of thefts from vehicles on Jan. 31.

Ballwin Police believe a string of recent car break-ins may be the work of the same suspect or suspects and have launched an investigation to find the persons responsible. As previously reported by Patch, a wave of thefts hit the city earlier this month, with four break-ins occurring all in one night. The incident prompted a warning from police urging citizens to keep their valuables more secure. Sgt. Jim Heldman said the thefts on the night of Jan. 31 occurred within a few blocks of each other in the Seven Trails neighborhood. Detectives have been assigned to the case and Heldman said “any leads will be examined.” In the meantime, while police aren’t currently planning any directed response, Heldman said it’s likely patrol officers will …
