Know How Many Mizzou Tigers Are In/Have Played in the NFL?

Tigers have had a strong showing in the NFL, especially since the 1970s.

No doubt, with a 5-7 season, the Mizzou Tigers had a disappointing launch in the Southeast Conference (SEC). The inability to get six wins and earn a birth in a bowl game was painful. Still, the Tigers have had rich and proud heritage, especially when earning post-season recognition and putting players into the National Football League. Presently, the Tigers have three quarterbacks on active rosters: Blaine Gabbert, Jacksonville; Brad Smith, Buffalo (QB and wide receiver); and Chase Daniel, New Orleans. Jeremy Maclin, Philadelphia, and Denario Alexander, San Diego, have become two premier receivers in the NFL. Expect Heavy Traffic to First Mizzou Home Game

Missouri takes on Georgia in the first Southeastern Conference football game in Mizzou history. MoDOT has support for travelers.

The Mizzou-Georgia matchup on Saturday will be the first ever SEC game at Faurot Field, and Missouri highways are expected to be full, as fans make their way to the game. Faurot's listed seating capacity is 71,004. A record 75,298 saw Mizzou play Penn State in 1980, according to the university's website. Could it be a record crowd on Saturday? The Missouri Department of Transportation is ready, and has released information to help travelers get to the game safely.
