Police Investigating Theft From West County Honda Car Dealership

Ellisville police are investigating after a cell phone valued at $250 was reportedly stolen from West County Honda earlier this month.

It does not indicate a conviction where an arrest was made.  Stealing Under $500: Police are investigating a report that between 3:00 p.m. and 3:15 p.m. on Friday, March 1, a cell phone was stolen from the West County Honda dealership located at 15532 Manchester Road. West County Honda Lot Idea Goes Back to P&Z

The property owner interested in providing more space for the dealership is exploring other options.

West County Honda dealership is looking to expand for lot storage space and working with property owner Lee Allen to make that use work for a lot on Old State Road across from Pierside Lane. At the Sept. 12 Ellisville Planning and Zoning meeting, Allen requested a recommendation for a boundary adjustment and zoning switch on his land. The switch would be from M-1 Light Industrial to C-5 Commercial Zoning, allowing the dealership expansion to operate on the 2-acre lot. After a 4-3 vote, a negative recommendation pushed through to city council (at least 5 votes must be in favor for a positive recommendation), necessitating a super majority city council approval to be passed. "what they wanted was to use the site for offsite parking of overflow vehicles, [...] to circumvent the city's prohibition of off-site storage for car dealerships." West County Honda Dealership Seeks Old State Expansion

The additional lot would be primarily used as storage and for some sales operations.

West County Honda is aiming to add on to their Manchester location by acquiring additional lot space at Old State Road and Pierside Lane in Ellisville. Lee Allen, owner of the land that would be used for the dealership expansion, has been purchasing property on Old State over the last six months. Allen requested the potential dealership's property at 445 and 437 Old State Road be changed from light industrial zoning to planned commercial zoning, allowing the dealership's function to operate on the land district. Allen said the Honda expansion would not provide vehicle services, but serve as mainly a storage location for primarily used cars and some sales operations. Allen is also working to make boundary adjustments to provide space for …

License Plates, Jewelry Reported Stolen in Ellisville

The Ellisville Police Department reports an incident of theft from a local auto dealer and theft from an unlocked garage.

• Three temporary license plates were stolen from West County Honda at 15532 Manchester Road in Ellisville at an unknown time and date. Dealership representatives reported the theft to police on Jan. 23. The plates were valued at $210. • Money and jewelry were stolen sometime between 3:35 p.m. and 7:15 p.m. on Jan. 25 in the 30 block of Oak Hill Drive after one or more person gained access to the residence through an unlocked garage. The losses were valued at $13,015. Anyone with information that may assist with the above investigations is encouraged to contact the Ellisville Police Department.
